Follow your curiosity
I believe that finding happiness is a choice. Happiness comes from many different directions and comes in many forms. There’s no one way to go about it, but, I think there are deliberate steps you can take to discover your own version of happiness.
Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat, Pray, Love hits the nail on the head in the video below. A life well-lived is a life of exploration both internally and externally. Listen to that little voice that tells you something is interesting. Give yourself permission to explore it because you don’t know where it will lead. Perhaps it won’t go far or maybe it becomes everything.
We put so much pressure on ourselves to find intense love throughout our lives when really we just need to create the space for love to form. Allow yourself to keep learning. Don’t worry about making that interest your job or life’s purpose. But make it a priority to continuously expand your mind and alter your perspectives because really, what’s the worst that can happen?
Over time our interests shift and change. We’re not stagnant creatures, we’re ever evolving. Follow your curiosity and allow it to be your guide to a happy life.
