5 ways to kill your dreams
Being career driven means you have a dream of some sort. Whether your vision is climbing within a company or shining as a successful entrepreneur, you’re on a mission to succeed. Bel Pesce has some words of advice regarding the best ways to foil your own plans.
No. 1: Believe in overnight success.
Keep telling yourself that the stories you hear about instant success are real. One day an idea will hit you and you’ll sell it for millions of dollars with very little effort. It’s happened to so many people so far, it’s bound to happen for you too.
No. 2: Believe someone else has the answers for you.
When you hit a fork in the road, ask for directions. The people in your life will have their own ideas of what’s best for you, which direction to take. Even the most successful of people with know what you should do so always rely on their input.
No. 3: Decide to settle when growth is guaranteed.
So, you’re doing well. You can do even better if you tried but with minimal effort, you’ll do well enough. It’s best to coast just as your business is about to explode.
No. 4: Believe the fault is someone else’s.
Maybe you’re not doing as well as you hoped. It could be a variety of factors but it’s definitely, definitely not your fault.
No. 5: Believe the only thing that matters are the dreams themselves.
Remember to keep your eyes on the prize. Only focus on the end goal and power through until you get there.
